Meet my grandparents
These are my grandparents. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on October 2, 2019. These two raised me. Papaw was the first man I ever loved. He is bold. He is outspoken. He is driven. I contribute all my hard-headed ways to him. On the other handm, Mamaw is my soft sweet teddy bear. She is my role model. I've never known a sweeter, kinder, more loving person that her. I am who I am today because of these two gems.
Mamaw is 86 years young and Papaw is 89. The life experiences these two have shared together binds them like nothing else, except the love of Jesus. They both love the Lord. Papaw spent 60 plus years in the ministry. He hopes to one day be able to return to the pulpit and "delivery one more message", as he puts it. This makes me nervous because what little filter he did have, well.... that is now gone! But who am I to get in the way of the Lord's will.
Now that they are in their golden years, they require much more assistance. They both still live at home, together, and it is my goal to keep it that way as long as possible. Thank you for joining me on my journey as I share my experiences, stories, and many
few laughs with you along the way. I know I'm lucky to have them both in my life. I don't take it for granted. I know one day I will look back on this blog and be so thankful that I captured my thoughts.
